About - Heating in households a little differently
“VYKUROVANIE TROCHU INAK” is a public information website about ways to reduce emissions from domestic heating, which is an important source of air pollution in the Slovak Republic. The aim is to show what households can do to help improve local air quality by heating more responsibly.
The website covers:
- fuels that meet quality standards,
- why burning waste in domestic stoves and boilers is prohibited,
- boilers and heating systems (efficiency, heating costs, emissions and user comfort),
- modernisation of heating equipment,
- innovative, environmentally friendly heating solutions,
- good practices of domestic heating,

- legislation related to reducing emissions from domestic heating,
- a short quiz to support public awareness and education,

The Ministry of the Environment of the Slovak Republic entrusted the Slovak Environment Agency with the development and operation of this website.
